Recreational League Match Rules


BBSC U 6 Playing Regulations	All players must wear appropriate soccer attire to games as well as practices. Game attire is the official club jersey (red or gray), black shorts, socks (red or gray), shin guards, cleats. Practice attire is either shorts or warm-up pants, t-shirt or sweatshirt, shin guards, and cleats. No jeans or sandals! Players should also have am ample supply of water with them.

BBSC U 6 Playing Regulations

Team Roster Size: 6 - 8 players

Games are played 3 v 3 on fields approximately 25 yards long by 20 yards wide. Size 3 balls are used. Games will be played in a manner consistent with league rules with the following modifications:

Portable “popup” goals are used
No goalkeepers
All players must be 3 yards from all restarts
No penalty area
No penalty kicks
No direct kicks - ALL kicks are indirect
Games are 2 X 15 minutes halves with 5 minute halftime
Kick-ins - NO throw-ins
No corner kicks, no offside, no slide tackling
Kick-off (from center) following a goal (per FIFA rules)
Goal kicks taken from goal line
Substitutions can be made on your own kick-ins, after any goal is scored, and on any goal kick
each player is required to play a minimum of 50% of the game minutes
no referees - 1 coach from each team is allowed on field. Coaches should not interfere with play,
but make the possession calls.
Coaches and parents may not stand behind the goal
No standings kept
If the defending team kicks the ball across the end line, the offensive team is awarded a kick from the end line on the field mark (Approx. 1 yard from corner). If the offensive team kicks the ball across the end line, the defense gets a goal kick from anywhere on the end line.
Each team (including all coaches, parents, and fans for that team) must be on opposite sidelines from the opposing team.
No jewelry of any kind

BBSC U 7 Playing Regulations

Games are played 4 v 4 on fields approximately 30 yards long by 20 yards wide. Size 3 balls are used. Games will be played in a manner consistent with league rules with the following modifications:

Games are played 6 v 6 on fields approximately 70 yards long by 40 yards wide. Size 4 balls are used. Games will be played in a manner consistent with league rules with the following modifications:

Goal keepers are used
Goalkeepers cannot punt or drop-kick the ball over halfway on the fly. Play will be restarted by a kick-in at the nearest intersection of halfway line and sideline from where ball crossed in the air.
All players must be 5 yards from all restarts
Games are 2 X 25 minutes halves with 5 minute halftime
Throw-ins
Kick-off (from center) following a goal (per FIFA rules)
There ARE corner kicks (per FIFA rules)
